Thanks to Chris Nichols for the heads-up that Homegirl Cafe in Chinatown is now open for dinner from 6-9 Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. They do Mexican food with some really original touches and lots of vegetarian selections, plus it benefits Homeboy Industries when you eat there. Don't miss the Green Potion drink: Lemonade with spinach and mint. Yeah, no alcohol, but that way you can eat first, then hit the bars Downtown.

Homegirl Cafe now open for dinner!

The green drink is called "Angela's Potion." The chef invented this drink with lemonade, mint and spinach so her daughter, Angela would consume vegies. Very sly and delicious!
