SATURDAY JULY 12:
- Esotouric's The New Chinatowns Tour from 11 am to 3 pm
- Trekking LA takes a BBQ tour of Thai Town with chef Jet Tila, 4-8 p.m.
- The Concern Foundation's Block Party at the Paramount lot features restaurants including All'Angelo, 3 on Fourth, Chaya and many more, and benefits cancer research. 6 p.m.
SUNDAY JULY 13:
- At 55 Degrees Wine in Atwater, Your Guide to Surviving Summer in L.A. with stand-up comic Tess Rafferty and six different wines and cheeses, at 7:30 p.m.
and planning ahead:
- WEDNESDAY July 16: Sake night at Tokyo Table in Beverly Hills with 20 different types of sake and food pairings for $45 (it's also July 23 in Arcadia).
- SUNDAY July 27, Dessert Decadence, from the folks who ran the cupcake contest I judged.
