Tacolandia: A taco crawl across L.A. and Tijuana, but all in one place

You might want to walk or bike to Tacolandia,  next Sunday's taco extravaganza in the Hollywood Palladium parking lot, because there are going to be lots and lots of tacos to digest. But these aren't just any street tacos: Some of the elevated tacos will include hard-to-find-outside-of-Baja marlin tacos from Coni' Seafood and Peruvian tacu tacu tacos from Mo-Chica's Ricardo Zarate as well as gourmet versions from Bistro LQ, Paiche, Rocios Moles and much more.

We drove around last Saturday for a preview with Tacolandia's "taco curator" Bill Esparza. Thanks to a Mustache Rides chauffeured van, we were able to taste tacos in Downtown, Watts, Inglewood and South Central, from tacos with artisanal cocktails at Mo-Chica to tacos with pitbulls and lonely train tracks in the hood.

Next time I'm anywhere near Inglewood, I'm definitely heading back to Coni' for some beers on the patio with amazing ceviches and aguachiles that taste straight out of Baja, scooped up with their addictive freshly-fried chips.
And speaking of Baja, Tacolandia is a great chance to taste tacos from some of Tijuana's and Ensenada's foodie destinations like Erizu, Mariscos El Mazateno, Tacos Kokopelli and La Guerrerense.
