With the demise of Gourmet, Jane and Michael Stern's print presence will be diminishing, but at least the Roadfood newsletter will now be emailed weekly. You can register to receive the newsletter for free -- there is a paid membership category also with extra benefits. The Roadfood website is a bit quirky -- the California section is spotty, for example, while the South and East are covered much better. But the site and the newsletter are a fun read, and I'm so glad to see that place's I visited years ago thanks to the Sterns like Mammy's Cupboard in Natchez, Miss., are still around.
