Street drops prices to street level, Bacon-fat cinema popcorn, Alice Waters' new convenience foods

Susan Feniger, worried about bad blog juju, announces she will drop all prices at Street to the exact level of the dishes on the street or in small ethnic restaurants: pho is $5, tacos $1.25 each, satay $1 a stick. However the craft beer is discontinued, and only warm soda in a can is available. Plus you must squat on the curb outside to get these prices. (EatingLA)

Here's a few more:

I wrote a story on movie theater concessions for Variety this week, but this one's much more fun:
San Francisco Cinema pops popcorn in bacon fat, from The Ethicurean
and if you've had Wolfgang Puck's frozen pizza, try Alice Waters' new dishes:
Alice Waters' new line of frozen foods includes just a terra-cotta plate -- you must forage the rest yourself, from Civil Eats
