Split two small but precious banh mi: Shitake-tofu with shredded carrot and daikon and lots of cilantro dressed in a secret sauce. Bread crunchy crisp on outside; inside as soft as a pillow. Lemongrass organic chicken also with cilantro, daikon, carrot and tons of flavor; small portions mean room for the Ginger Soy Curd dessert. Yummy fried shrimp rolls (TOM HOA TIEN, $5.75); 2 disappeared before I could take picture.
White fish, spicy sardine and vegan tofu basil sandwiches available too; as well as shrimp and vegetarian crepes, watercress beef salad and five kinds of noodle dishes including vegetarian jackfruit noodle. Iced ginger and lohan tea was very refreshing. Lunch for two $23 (sans tip) Open M-Sat 11-10pm. Also, there's an opening celebration this Sunday from 11-3, according to a sign on the door.

Viet Wrap 'n Roll open in Atwater: banh mi for the hood!
EatingLA's faithful eating partner Kathy checked out the new Viet Wrap n' Roll, next to Viet Noodle House, and sent in a report. Yes, near-Eastside hipsters will probably pay $23 for two banh mi and assorted extras. Wanna make something of it?:
