Cupcakes come to South Pasadena

South Pasadena has been pretty quiet since Gus's BBQ opened a few months ago. But soon residents of the quiet burg will have cupcakes to cheer them up as My Sweet Cupcake readies to open in a month or so adjacent to the charming Gracie's market on Mission St., just down from 750 ml. What's next, frozen yogurt?

Ahh.. no more frozen yogurt! No more cupcakes either! The ones at Heirloom Bakery around the corner from this new cupcake place are really good. Esp. the carrot cake one. Though, one can simply head to Eagle Rock to Auntie Em's for the best cupcakes ever.

Yay-yo! No on froyo.....
they used to have a Penguin's on Fair Oaks back during the previous froyo craze in the mid-90's and it didn't last.........

I was going to say, Heirloom has great cupcakes, it's just not a cupcake-only spot.

My Sweet Cupcake has catered a few events that I have held. The cupcakes were fantastic and working with both Denise and Linda, the owners, was very pleasant. They will bend over backwards to get you what you need. I can't wait for their shop to open in South Pasadena being a South Pas resident. My kids can't wait either!

We can hardly wait for My Sweet Cupcake to join our community. I have eaten their cupcakes and they are truly different. They have a home style flair and taste great. Especially the chocolate/chocolate very moist.

Listen up, ye pastry fans of Southern California! I have had the great and good fortune to sample the sweet cupcakes of My Sweet Cupcakes on many a happy occasion. Before My Sweet Cupcakes, I was a nothing, a nobody, a cipher, a UFO-like passing blip on the radar screen of existence. But . . . one taste of the work of these geniuses of the individually-wrapped, frosted min-cake, and I am now a man among men, a mighty strider along the avenues of Plant Earth!

In short, they were, like, really, really good!

I had My Sweet Cupcake cater my sister's bridal shower and they were a huge hit. I even caught one very proper older woman with 5 of the mini's on her plate! Dots is a block from my house and I will happily drive right by it on my way to the new shop. Best wishes on the shop ladies.....and stay stocked up on Blueberry and Dolce de Leche!
