What happened to Tastespotting?

Chowhounds are all atwitter over the sudden disappearance of Tastespotting.com, which featured recipes and photos from hundreds of food blogs. Since we barely have time to cook, we never got hooked on it, but apparently a lot of people were enjoying it until, poof! The site apparently faced some kind of legal issues, but what they are is not clear. It may or may not have had something to do with some off-kilter posters such as the Tastespotting Stalker. Tastespotting, we hardly had time to know you.
