Taco Zone truck hit by vandals, thank goodness they've got a spare

EatingLA is saddened to learn that Echo Park's beloved Taco Zone truck was apparently burned by vandals late Friday night. Fortunately, there's more than one Taco Zone truck, so there won't be a taco outage, and the taco ladies are ok. Tensions seem to really be simmering in the Echo Park, Atwater and Silver Lake areas lately, and I hope the people who did this are brought to justice quickly because YOU DON'T MESS WITH OUR TACO LADIES.

Glad to hear that nobody was hurt and that the Taco Zoners had a spare truck. Burning a taco truck in L.A. is practically sacrilege. Whoever did this should definitely be locked up.

Can you share your posts on Facebook? I know some returning Santa Cruz students who are going to be mighty upset.

An injustice has occurred in our city. As you might of heard, vandals tried to set fire to the Taco Zone in Echo Park last Friday night. The truck suffered damage to their roof and will need to be repaired as it has holes now. The Taco Zone Benefit show will donate all proceeds to the ladies of the Taco Zone to hopefully repair their truck. The line up is no joke either with Kenan Bell, The Mae Shi, and Robert Frances taking the stage. Some special guests are also being promised to attend. Only in Los Angeles will you find a benefit show for a taco truck, and that’s why I call this home.
