Product of the year, so far: Activia yogurt

Now, I'm usually not one for touting mass-produced, sugar-sweetened grocery store products. Nor do any of you really need to know much about my inner functioning. Let's just say that I'm pretty darn amped about Dannon's new Activia yogurt. It contains a special strain of probiotics that is scientifically proven to "reduce intestinal transit time." If that sounds wierd to you, then just skip this post. But if it sounds like it could be helpful, then try Activa, which starts working after a week or so of eating one container a day. I actually like the prune flavor, but I'm wierd. In France, where they've had this since 1987 under the Bio label, those lucky frogs can get the stuff in flavors like cranberry, kiwi, rhubarb, coconut and muesli. Here's the French site, where you can watch cute TV commercials for Activia. Enough said.

I haven't seen it. Where did you find it?

Calorie-free and equally killer: acidophillus in capsule form, purchased at Sav-On. For some reason, the stuff at Trader Joe's is ineffective.

ACTIVIA.... Started working for me the first day... 20 days later.. I'm a new woman!! :-)
My family is getting tired of me emerging from the bathroom yelling "I LOVE MY YOGURT"!!!
But I DO!!

I was having problems with constipation. Since eating Activia, now I go everyday. Somedays 3 or 4 times.

On day 7 of Activia and I can't believe I've been on this earth for 58 years without this. The money, time, and embarrassment of IBS issues make it seem that I am waking up from the world's longest nightmare. I could cry. And I DO!

Looked activia up on Wikipedia and found a lot of negative comments.
However, I tried it and after 4 days I feel it did the job and I will continue to use it. (female
56 yrs old with mild diverticuli)

I love Activia! I have mild IBS that recently shifted from D to C. Now I have neither! I have BMs at least once a day and usually twice a day. They're well formed and, as corny as it sounds, a pleasure.

I was very hopeful (I think I was born constipated)! However, I'm beginning to think it should be called "INACTIVIA"! It may have made it worse . . .
But, it is tasty . . .

This stuff seems to help my IBS a bit. Also another brand Spega, you can get at TJ's has the same culture in it - tastes even better, but kind of pricey, I get it anyway.

Strange as it may sound, Activia CURED my lactose intolerance.

I love it. Try it. Trust me.

I've been eating Activia for almost a month with the exception of missing one day. It has seemed to help a bit. I don't go everyday but when I do go it's "better". I have noticed a funny heaviness in my lower intenstine and funny vibrating/jumpy feeling in my lower intestinal track.

I've been constipated for years and nothing helps. This REALLY works...and it's good! Thank God somebody told me about it...now, the only problem is beating the other people at the grocery store to get it.

I don't usually try over-hyped products promising miracle results. Call me a pessimist...BUT this stuff has helped me beyond belief. I don't get cramps nearly as often, I actually go to the bathroom. My stomach often makes noises or rumbles which is what I hear means a healthy working digestive tract.

Saw this stuff at work in the cafeteria...someone reached over me and grabbed the last one saying, this stuff is GREAT!

I then saw it in the market got to palates of 4. I'll let you know!

Activia has relieved my IBS symptoms better than Rx (and cheaper)! I love Activia. It has made constipation a thing of the past! I will just pass on the good news!

Yyyyyyyess! My constipation was so horrible and chronic. I had it for years and was a slave to horrible drugs like Zelnorm, senna and cascara. At one point they finally quit working and I was forced to have to give myself an enema just so I could have a bowel movement once a week. Miserable. But now...I'M free! Activia worked on me the very next day after my first cup. Now I go almost every day: comfortable and normal. I love my new flat stomach too! I LOVE THIS YOGURT!!!! Activia, where have you been all my life????
