We agree that
Wyeth didn't seem like a great name for a restaurant. Now
UrbanDaddy lets us know that Steven Arroyo's revamped
HappiSongs will become
Goat. Is that better? Not sure yet. Flash-Fried Goat Cheese and Figs with Brown Butter? That sounds pretty good. Goat Confit with Warm French Bread? Not so sure. Chef is Robert Luna. Opens Friday -- lunch and dinner seven days a week!

p.s. If you're not familiar with
UrbanDaddy, it's a daily email tipsheet in the vein of
Daily Candy, but more for cool young guys (not for dads necessarily). How is it different from
Thrillist? Less dude, more urbane, maybe?
pat i have a few questions to ask you about something i am working on, if you could please email me at XtakenX@yahoo.com i can't find your email on here. thanks a lot, craig thornton.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Goat? Unless they're going to be serving up a lot of Chevre or Bil Tfeen, I'm not sure this is an improvement.
ReplyDeleteI thought the issue with Happi Songs was location more than concept. Now I'm fearing that location and concept are equally iffy...
ReplyDeletethis doesn't have anything to do with goat, but i had to say that i loooove urban daddy, even though technically, it's market is dudes. :)
ReplyDeleteJill, the issue with Happi Song was not location, it was the disinterested wait staff and the equally disinterested kitchen staff -- menu items frequently unavailable.
