Taste of Italy: Support L.A. History with Deliciozo Flavors

The Italian American Museum's fifth annual Taste of Italy event is a chance to promote L.A.'s fascinating early history, since it benefits the museum's efforts to collect and display the contributions of Italian-Americans in the city. Held at Downtown L.A.'s Italian Hall in Historic Little Italy (which overlaps today's Chinatown), it's a chance to get some excellent Italian bites and wines and hang out with prominent Italian-Americans including Top Chef contestant Fabio Viviani, assemblyman Mike Gatto and actor Louis Lombardi.

When: Saturday, October 12, 5 p.m. -10 p.m.
Where: Italian Hall, 622 Main St., Los Angeles
What's to Eat: Restaurants include Il Grano, Pizzeria Il Fico, Colori Kitchen, Obika Mozzarella Bar, Drago Centro, Eatalian, Trattoria Neapolis, Locanda del Lago and many more, as well as gelaterias Grom and Bulgarini.
What's to drink: Ventura Limoncello, Peroni beer, Pasquini Espresso, Giornata Wines, Rosa d'Oro Vineyards, Sunland Vintage Winery and much more.
