What's Pop Art Sushi? Find out at Royal/T Salon's pop-up dinners

Pop art sushi, Royal T
Some sushi is already pretty artistic, but chef Kenny Yamada (formerly of Katsuya) takes it a step further with a limited pop-up menu at Royal/T Salon that takes sushi artistry to a new level.
Culver City's Royal/T Salon is hosting a series of Pop Art sushi dinners on Wednesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 26 to Sept. 9, featuring Yamada's creations inspired by Royal/T's Japanese art collection.
Two menus are available: 7 courses for $45 and 13 courses for $90, with wine and sake pairings available. We tried his artsy fish at a press preview, and though the simplest fresh saba sushi may have been the best of all, it was fun to try the various towers and layered fish constructions while checking out the eclectic art hung around the Royal/T gallery.
